Last night we played our final set at Brookgreen Garden’s Night of a Thousand Candles.

After nightfall, the beauty of the gardens was transformed by a breathtaking display of lights. The excitement and delight were apparent on the faces of people young and old.
This was a truly wonder-filled way to welcome the holidays and let the light from within shine through.

We had an awesome summer!

A season filled with beautiful brides and handsome grooms.

Amazing sights of Mother Nature’s gifts and the work of  gifted designers.

A wedding ~ a union which transforms two individuals into one .  Weddings can also transform guests to another place in time.  Some weddings are celebrated in spaces which are transformed into dreams.  We have had a busy Spring filled with weddings and receptions celebrating natures beauty: in the gardens, off the golf course green, river side and overlooking the marsh and natural spaces.  And now that the Summer heat is on some amazingly creative minds have been transforming in door spaces into the stuff of dreams.  Thank goodness for those imaginations (and AC).

This wedding had one of those moments that sends chills down your spine.  The beauty of our surroundings and the elegance of the  “our”  couple were grand.   Our moment came during the prelude as guests arrived and were seated.  Daddy was waiting for his walk down the isle and for a special tune we were commissioned to play.  I believe those were tears of joy and remembrance and we were honored to be a part of this amazing day.

Family ties and traditional tones filled this ceremony with sentiment.

Tears could not be held back for long as this couple declared their intent and vowed to love one another now and forever.

Elegance, romance and a touch of whimsy.

DeeDee and Tony had the perfect combination for their big day.

The Ocean,  an abundance of gorgeous orchids, a String Quartet and a perfectly well mannered four legged ring bearer gal who nearly stole the show.

The setting was perfect for an afternoon garden wedding.

A storm front which came in earlier in the week brought with it cool temperatures along the Strand.  The rain washed away all the pollen and the Azaleas were blooming in all their glorious vibrant colors.

A Beautiful bride and her groom had come together to commit them selves to each other and a life together.

Now they head off for a honeymoon in Hawaii and we wish them all the best.

On this beautiful day the promise of Spring can be heard and seen all around. Spring is also the start of another season. A season of love where creatures of all kind human and other start a new, in love and hope for the future.
